The Interpretation Center generates experiences of learning to its visitors with the purpose of spreading knowledge and sensitize about importance of the conservation and rating of the legacy of our ancestors.
The experiences of learning are designed for all the public go back to past. Visits are guided with a preferential option towards schools and vulnerable sectors. Our facilitators and scripts are prepared to receive general public.
The Interpretation Center of the Foundation offers a guided tour on an exposure that harbors more than 1,000 archaeological pieces, divided in topics. Based on a methodology of experiential education, the visitors make an interpretation of the archaeological pieces, from his/her own view point.
Besides that, contemplates a diorama of more than 100 meters that narrates in a pictorial way different phases in the life of Mayas and Nahuas.
A second moment of the experience contemplates the exposure of multimedia resources in format 360º. With this material visitors contextualize different elements of the culture of original culture of Mayas.
The participants of the experience become “archaeologists” that develop excavation processes and restoration of simulated “archaeological” pieces.
Kids of the first cycle they play coloring a notebook that contains linear drawing that represent different aspects of the cultures of the original towns.
Using clay and cast the participants of the experience imagine and create symbols of communication that identify them taking as reference diverse writings of the original towns.
The participants of the experience simulate an interchange of “gemstones” and elaborate original necklaces, at the same time that they reflection about one of the mechanisms of interchange of goods used in the cultures of our original towns.
